Neemrana : Established with a vision to bring about innovation in higher education and learning in emerging areas of the knowledge society, the not-for-profit NIIT University (NU) organised its 11th Convocation Ceremony virtually, in line with the safety protocols issued by the government for the COVID-19 pandemic. The Virtual Convocation Ceremony was attended by the graduating students and their parents, current students, industry leaders, prominent guests, and faculty members.

The convocation ceremony commenced at 11 a.m. Each graduate received the degree certificate from  Prof. Rajesh Khanna, President , NIIT University and Dr Arunabha Ghosh, Chief Executive Officer at Council on Energy, Environment and Water(CEEW) Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. Ghosh Addressed the students on the occasion.

NIIT University (NU), one of the greenest and the most environment-friendly campus in India, is well poised to meet the emerging needs of the knowledge economy, through its focus on building relevant industry linkages and developing strong research capabilities. Conceptualized as an institution of excellence, NU provides exceptional education based on four Core Principles that make learning industry-linked, technology-based, research-driven and seamless. In the last 18 months since the pandemic, as we were pushed into a world where technology became the mainstay, NU has  been focusing on holistic learning while keeping students at par with technological advancements. 264 students were awarded degree certificates for successfully completing various programmes at the 11th convocation ceremony. Living up to NU’s 100% placement record, students who were eligible and opted in for placements were placed with renowned companies such as IBM, CISCO, EY, Morgan Stanley and Big Basket to name a few.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajendra S Pawar, Founder, NU and Chairman, NIIT Ltd. said, “I heartily congratulate all the students and wish them tremendous success in the future . I am convinced that the industry-relevant and research-based education they received at the University will guide them throughout their lives. The lessons they learned at NU will help them stand tall even in times of crisis.”

The Chief Guest, Dr Arunabha Ghosh, complimented all of the students on their achievements. He congratulated the team NU for familiarizing students with latest technology while teaching them to be one with nature. He appreciated the various initiatives in sustainable development that NU has undertaken.

Prof. Rajesh Khanna, President, NIIT University, said, “This is a proud moment for us at NIIT University as we graduate our eleventh batch of students, who are on their way to join some of the best organisations and institutions in the world. I heartily congratulate all the students and wish them success in the years to come. We are elated that NU has once again achieved 100% placement for eligible students who opted in for placements.”
