Jammu, 11 October 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu, an Institute of National Importance, has announced recruitment of Faculty Posts. These posts are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.
The recruitment is based on Special Drive for Faculty Recruitment in Reserved Categories: SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category.

Essential Qualifications:
PhD in a relevant area with first class or equivalent at the preceding degrees with throughout consistently good academic record.
Experience:
Professor: Minimum 10 years Teaching/Research/Industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs or in similar institutes of national importance or at an equivalent level in any other Indian or foreign institutions /institutions of comparable standards.
Associate Professor: A minimum of 6 years Teaching/Industry/Research experience, of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer).
Assistant Professor: At least 3 years relevant industrial/research/teaching experience, excluding the experience gained while pursing PhD Exceptional candidates having Post PhD experience less than 3 years may be considered for a faculty position.
Candidates preferably should be below 35 years of age. However, applicable age relaxations will be applicable to the reserved category applicants as per Government of India rules.
