Mumbai: JBCN Education, which runs a group of premiere international schools in Mumbai, is bringing together industry veterans for what is touted to be Asia’s biggest education conclave under the aegis of its professional development initiative, Nation of Learning Excellence (NLE). The Conference will witness participation from Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Ace Investor; Ms. Dia Mirza – Actor, Producer and UN Goodwill Ambassador of India for the environment; Mr. Ashish Dhawan – Founder and Chairman of Central Square Foundation; Mrs. Zarina Screwvala – Founder of Swades Foundation; Dr. Loree Ann Clemo – President of D’Youville College, New York, amongst a host of other influential speakers. With ‘Mindfulness in Education’ as the theme of the two-day event, the conference will see attendance by the Senior Leadership Faculty of more than 300 schools across Asia.

Mrs. Pinky Dalal, Founder of JBCN Education, says, “As educators in the 21st century, we are nurturing a generation of innovators, thinkers and leaders who are entering a fast-changing world. Our teaching-learning strategies, therefore, must reflect the changing needs of our learners. Through our professional development initiative, Nation of Learning Excellence (NLE), our intention is to offer a bouquet of handpicked courses from India and abroad that provide educators an opportunity to grow as professionals and individuals, in order to optimally deliver key 21st century skills to their students. NLE’s ‘Mindfulness in Education’ Conference focuses on one of these skills – a mindful approach to teaching and learning that stems from a keen awareness of the world around us.”

Commenting on NLE, Mr. Rakesh Jhunjuhunwala, Founding Partner, Rare Enterprises, and Keynote Speaker at the conference said, “Education is the most important institution to empower individuals and shape a better society. It is only through focused efforts that we can ensure the teachers train our future generation with utmost responsibility. I am glad to be a part of NLE, Asia’s largest conference on education, which provides a unique experience and opportunities to teachers. With initiatives like these, it would be correct to say that our children are in safe hands.”

NLE is an initiative taken by JBCN Education that aims to bring quality professional development opportunities to teachers across the spectrum, with a view of impacting the largest number of children possible through the empowerment of their own teachers. This conclave will bring together educators from varied backgrounds in an exceptional interface with thought leaders and inspirational educators from various fields, providing a potentially transformational opportunity to positively impact our most precious resource – the young mind. Mindful teaching and learning are the fundamental premise on which all the pillars of education ought to rest. Educators are in a unique position to guide and mentor tomorrow’s generation.
