Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Asia’s largest residential university and a premier central university, is on a massive recruitment drive for filling up various teaching posts. There are nearly 500 faculty positions, which will be filed up as BHU has released the official recruitment notification.

Faculty posts are available at the following levels: Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the University. The total number of posts are nearly 500 across multiple departments/centres/affiliated colleges/institutions.

The faculty positions are available more than 25 departments/centres of the university.  Some of the departments/centres where hiring of faculty positions are going on is given below:  Faculty of Medicine, (IMS); Institute of Science; Institute of Agricultural Sciences; Faculty of Arts; Institute of Management Studies; Faculty Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Barkachha, Mirzapur. Key Dates: The last for online submission of application form, application form and Application Forms Downloads is 31 July 2020. The last date for submission of downloaded application form along with the enclosures is 03 August 2020.

BHU has informed that Application Fee of Rs. 1000/-  should be paid online for the candidates of Gen., EWS and OBC categories for Teaching posts. No application fees shall be charged from the candidates of SC, ST and PwDs categories, if the post is advertised under these categories.

Accordingly, for teachers in the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Science, the norms/regulations of Indian Council of Agricultural Research; for Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and AYUSH, the norms/Regulations of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; for Faculty of Education, the norms/Regulations formulated in consultations with National Council of Teacher Education; for Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Management/Business Administration, the norms/Regulations formulated in consultations with All India Council for Technical Education; and for the qualifications in the field of rehabilitation and special education at Degree, PG Diploma and Masters level, the norms/Regulations formulated in consultations with Rehabilitation Council of India, shall apply.
