New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release notification for Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2020 on Thursday as per Annual Calendar of UPSC.  The ESE Preliminary examination will be held on 05 January 2020 (Sunday).

Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2018, a national level civil services examination conducted by the UPSC to recruit technical/engineering graduates to serve the various departments/organizations of Union Government of India.

Once the commission releases on 25 September 2019 the tentative number vacant posts will be known.

Tentative Key Dates: The Last date for submission of applications will be 15 October 2019 (till 18.00 Hours).

General Educational Qualification: The applicant should possess a degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Institute by the Government of India.

The candidates who have attained M.sc degree with Electronics, Wireless Communications and Radio Physics as a special subject can apply for certain posts.

For details on eligibility conditions, candidates should refer the Recruitment Notification uploaded on the official website of UPSC.

Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/ Posts under the following categories:

Category I‐Civil Engineering

Category II‐Mechanical Engineering

Category III‐Electrical Engineering

Category IV‐Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2018, a national level civil services examination conducted by the UPSC to recruit technical/engineering graduates to serve the various departments/organizations of Union Government of India. Nearly three lakh candidates apply for the competitive test each year. Out of these candidates, around 500 candidates are recommended  to fill up the vacant posts.
