Patna, 08 February 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna, an Institute of National Importance, has invited applications from eligible candidates for Assistant Professors across all its departments. Indian Nationals (Foreign Nationals may also apply, for appointment to tenure/contractual position as per MHRD, GoI rules.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Assistant Professor: One should have a Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three (03) years of post-Ph.D experience in teaching/research/industry for the post of Assistant Professor(Grade I) excluding however, the experience gained while pursuing PhD.
Candidates not satisfying the experience requirement for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor (Grade I) may be considered for the post of Assistant Professor (Grade II) which may be moved to Assistant Professor (Grade I) subsequently on completion of the minimum experience requirement and satisfactory performance in teaching & research during the tenure at IIT Patna.
Age Requirements: Preferably below 35 years for the post of Assistant Professor Grade – I and 32 years for the post of Assistant Professor Grade – II as on cut off date fixed by the Institute.
Key Dates: IIT Patna has released Recruitment Notification on 01 February 2021. The notice is Rolling Based. There is no last date and application can be submitted throughout the year. However, the processing of applications will be done by the Departments as per the cut off date fixed by the Institute.
