Surat: Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, popularly known as NIT Surat, invites applications for Teaching Assistant posts. These posts are purely ad-hoc basic for 11 months.

The selection process will be based on Online Written Test and Online Interview. The dates for Online Written Test and Online Interview will be announced by the institute after 12 August 2020.

The institute is going to conduct online Written Test and interview soon for the posts of Teaching Assistant (purely  on ad-hoc basis for 11 months) in the following  department:

1. Electronics Engineering Department
2. Computer Engineering Department
3. Applied Physics Department
4. Applied Chemistry Department
5. Applied Mathematics & humanities Department(only for Applied Mathematics)

The minimum Qualification and remuneration  to be paid  to the Teaching Assistant (s) purely  on ad-hoc basis is as given  below.

For Engineering  Disciplines:

1. 1^st Class or an equivalent CGPA (Min 6.5 on the scale of 10) in MTech/ME and 1^stClass  or an equivalent CGPA (Min 6.5 on the scale of 10) in BTech /BE with good Academic. Monthly  Remuneration-Rs.45,000/-
2. PhD (in appropriate branch) with 1^st Class  or an equivalent CGPA (Min 6.5 on the scale of 10) in BTech /B.E and 1^st Class  or an equivalent CGPA (Min 6.5 on the scale of 10) in M.Tech/M.E(Engg)with good Academic Record . Monthly  Remuneration-Rs.60,000/-

 For Science and Mathematics:

1. 1^st Class or an equivalent CGPA(Min6.5 on the scale of 10) in both M. Phil and M.Sc. for Physics / Chemistry /Mathematics with good Academic Record. Monthly  Remuneration-Rs.45,000/-
2. D. (in appropriate branch) with good Academic Record with 1^st Class  or an equivalent CGPA (Min6.5 on the scale of 10) in  M.Sc. for Physics / Chemistry /Mathematics or M. Phil relevant area. Monthly  Remuneration-Rs.60,000/-

The last date to submit scanned copy of the completed application form along with the self-attested supporting documents such as degree certificates, semesters-wise marks  etc is 12 August 2020. The single  pdf file must be compressed form so as to have reduced size.
