Bhuabaneswar, 13 February 2021: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced recruitment drive for 540 Assistant Professors. These selected candidates will be posted in Odisha State Public Universities under the administrative control of Higher Education Department.

Total Number of Posts: The total number of vacant posts are 540 across 40 subjects.

Key Dates: The link for registration will be available from 15 February 2021. The link for registration will close on 14 March 2021 for Payment of Application Fee. The link for registration will close on 14 March 2021 for submission of online application.

Basic Eligibility Conditions:

Candidates should have Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. A relaxation of 5 percent allowed for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe/PWD candidates.

Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.

The candidates who have PhD Degree shall be exempted from requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors.
