In some states, Public Service Commissions (PSCs) or State Examination Authority recruit faculty posts in a large numbers for state universities and Govt Colleges.

Total Number of Posts: The total number of vacant posts for Assistant Professors are 1091. The total number of vacant Librarian posts are 67.
OPSC Recruiting 606 Assistant Professors for Govt Colleges in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, 10 October 2021: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced Recruitment of Associate Professors for Government Degree Colleges under Department of Higher Education of Govt of Odisha.

Karnataka Govt. Recruiting 1,242 Assistant Professors for First Degree Colleges via KEA
Bangalore, 02 Oct 2021: Government of Karnataka has announced recruitment of Assistant Professors in Government First Degree Colleges in the state. Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is the Selection Authority and to conduction competitive examination for the recruitment process.
