The selected candidates will be engaged in the research project ‘‘Evaluation of prophylactic potential of a VLP based vaccine candidate against Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) gt3’’.

Qualification for Eligibility:
Principal Project Associate- 1: PhD in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Basic Science (those with previous experience with working on viruses or vaccine development will be preferred) with good scientific publication record and relevant research experience as evidenced from thesis work carried out in a reputed scientific institution and publications. Project involves virology, vaccine biology, molecular biology, cell biology and immunology. Candidate with hands on experience in biochemistry including recombinant protein expression in insect cell-lines and purification, advanced molecular biology techniques including quantitative RT-PCR, VLP preparation, immunological assays, cytotoxicity assay, practical experience in protein chemistry, histopathology and flowcytometry will be preferred.
Project Associate-1: Minimum 60% marks: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Basic Science with good academic record and CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE. Project involves virology, vaccine biology, molecular biology, cell biology and immunology, so preference will be given to the candidate who is having experience in animal handling, animal cell culture, molecular biology, vaccine preparation and immunology experiments
