New Delhi, 03 August 2021: The application portal for Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE)  2021 is open now. On behalf of Jawaharlal Nehru University, the National testing Agency, the National Testing Agency will conduct JNUEE 2021.

The closing date for submission of application is 27 Aug 2021 (upto 5:00 pm).

Dates of Examination are  20, 21, 22, 23 Sep, 2021

The candidates for admission to PhD have to appear for Computer Based Test (CBT).

Here, SkillOutlook presents Key Points of Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern of JNU Entrance Examination for PhD Programmes:

The final selection of the candidates for PhD Prohrams will depend on the performance on  Entrance Test and Viva Voce.  Meanwhile,  Entrance Test will have 70% weightage and Viva Voce will have 30% weightage.

Scheme of Test:

  • The total duration of the test will be 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
  • Type of Questions will be Multiple Choice Question.
  • Number of Questions- 100
  • Marks per question- 1 (one) for each correct response.
  • There will be No negative marking for incorrect response.

For admission to PhD the candidates are invited for CBT examination and candidates qualifying in the CBT examination shall be called for viva voce Examination. Qualifying marks for the candidate belonging to General Category and EWS category is 50%.

Whereas, qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PWD categories is 45%.

Separate merit lists are prepared for candidates belonging to the General Category, Scheduled Caste Category, Scheduled Tribe Category, OBC Category, EWS category and PWD Category and also in respect of Foreign Nationals for each programme of study.

 

The Question Papers for the test (JNUEE 2021) shall be based on the syllabus prescribed by the JNU which is available at website https://www.jnu.ac.in/sites/default/files/admission/e- Prospectus-2021-22.pdf and https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in

JRF qualified candidates shall be exempted from Computer Based Test (CBT). They are required to apply separately under JRF category. Such candidates shall be shortlisted and called directly for viva-voce.

GATE qualified candidates for the admission in the school of Engineering shall be exempted from Computer Based Test (CBT). They are required to apply separately under GATE category. Such candidates shall be shortlisted and called directly for viva-voce.
