Kharagpur, 26 July 2021: IIT Kharagpur is the organizing institute of  Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE ) 2022. The notification for GATE 2022 is expected to be released by last week of July 2021.

Here, it can be mentioned that last year, the notification for GATE 2021 was released on the last Sunday of July month i.e. on 26 July  2020. In 2019 the notification was released on 09 July while in 2018, the notification was released on 16 July.

This year, two new GATE 2022 papers will be added. Hence, the total number of GATE Papers or Subjects will be 29. The two subject papers to be added to this year’s GATE exam are- Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Geomatics Engineering.

As per previous year trends, the GATE application portal opens for registration in September.  GATE Exams are conducted in February.

GATE 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay was the organizing institute of GATE 2021. The pass percentange or qualifying rate in the test has been 17.82%.

Overall, 8.82 lakh candidates have registered GATE 2021 compared to 8.77 Lakh candidates in GATE 2020.

Amid COVID 19 pandemic,  GATE-2021 examination was held during 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th February 2021.  The test was held in 27 subjects or GATE papers.
