Bangalore, 09 March 2021: International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT Bangalore) invites applications for its research degree programs, namely, Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science by Research. This call for admissions is for academic year 2021-22 (Term 1) starting in August 2021. For PhD and MSc Research Admissions both Full Time and Part Time programmes available.

Amid COVID 19 Pandemic, the institute will conduct both written entrance examination and Interview online.

Key Dates:

Research Admissions Portal is live for application submission – 15 March 2021

Last date for online application submission – 30 April 2021

Online written test for shortlisted candidates, if required – 05 June 2021

Week of online interviews – 07 June 2021 – 12 June 2021

Computer Science (CS)

Data Sciences (DS)

IT & Society (ITS)

Mathematics &Basic Sciences (MBS) [only PhD]

Networking, Communications Signal Processing (NCSP)

Software Engineering

VLSI

E-Health Research Centre (EHRC)

Machine Intelligence and Robotics (MINRO) Centre

Fellowships/Scholarships :

For full-time Doctor of Philosophy students, a fellowship of INR 38,500/- per month till completion of comprehensive Exam. INR 43,500 per month for a maximum period of 3 years (36 months) after completion of comprehensive Exam

For full-time Master of Science by Research/ Master of Science (Research) students, a fellowship of INR 20,000/- per month is available.
