Bangalore, 22 March 2024: Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, India’s top ranked Research University, has extended the closing date for submission of online application for PG / PhD programmes for the Academic Year 2024-25.

Last date for submitting online applications for PG / PhD programmes for the Academic Year 2024-25 has been extended to 25 March 2024. Applicants should fill in the details of GATE/ CEED/JAM score/rank on the admission portal on or before 25th March 2024. Failure to update GATE/ CEED/ JAM score/rank by the mentioned deadline may render the application ineligible for further admission process.

IISC Bangalore invites applications for the following Degree Programmes:

 (1) Research Programmes [Ph D / M Tech (Research)]

(2) Course Programmes in Engineering [M Tech/M Des/M Mgt]

(3) Course Programmes in Science [M Sc in Life Sciences; and M Sc in Chemical Sciences],

(4) Integrated Ph D Programmes,

and (5) External Registration Programme [Ph D/M

Website opens for online submission of applications – 05 February 2024

Last date for online submission of applications (website closes at 23:59 hours of 25 March 2024) – 25 March  2024

Last date for online submission of online applications for M Tech/ M Des Sponsored programme (website closes at 23:59 hours)          12 April  2024

Application Fees:

The fees payable for each online admissions application form are as follows:

General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 800

SC / ST / PwD: Rs. 400

ERP candidates (all categories): Rs. 2000

Sponsored candidates from government and PSU: Rs. 800
