Mumbai: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced the PhD seat strength for the Academic Year 2018-19. The PhD admission will be held in two sessions for AY 2018-19: Autumn and Spring semesters.
For AY 2018-19, the total number PhD seats are 334 with teaching assistantship. Teaching Assistantship, a research fellowship, is available to regular full time PhD scholars. Doctoral programmes will be offered in 26 departments/centres.
For Spring session admission 2018-19, the online admission window will open soon, as per IIT Bombay.
Electrical Engineering has the highest seat strength with 30 seats for Ay 2018-19. Mechanical Engineering (24 seats), Computer Science & Engineering (20 seats), Mathematics (20 seats), Civil Engineering (18) have large number of seats available for doctoral programmes.
