IIM Ranchi invites applications for different faculty positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor , Professor and Professor of Practice on regular/contract basis.
IIM Ranchi currently offers a full-time two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme; a full-time two year Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM) programme; a full-time Fellow Programme in Management (FPM); and a part-time Post Graduate Executive (PGEXP) programme in Management.

Eligibility (Full Time Regular Faculty):
Candidates must have a PhD degree or its equivalent with first class in the preceding degree with consistently good academic record, and commensurate publications in high quality academic journals. The levels of teaching/research/industry experience required for various positions are as given below:
1) Assistant Professor: Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs.8000/-
- Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline with first class in the preceding degree with excellent academic record throughout.
- Minimum 3 years’ teaching/industry/post-doctoral research experience (experience during Ph.D. will not be counted).
- Those who have recently submitted Ph.D. thesis or have shortfall in required work experience can apply for appointment as Assistant Professor on Contract.
2) Associate Professor: Pay Band of Rs.37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs.9500/-
- Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline with first class in the preceding degree with excellent academic record throughout.
- A minimum of 6 years teaching/industry/research experience, of which at least 3 years’ should be at the level of Assistant Professor (experience during Ph.D. will not be counted).
3) Professor: Pay Band of Rs.37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs.10500/-
- Ph. D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline with first class in the preceding degree with excellent academic record throughout.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor (experience during Ph.D. will not be counted).
4) Professor of Practice:
- Ph.D. desirable, but not mandatory for candidates with exceptional experience and expertise.
- Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management (or equivalent professional qualification) with at least 60% marks from reputed Academic Institutions in India or abroad and with not less than 15 years of managerial or professional experience.
- Candidates should have worked in senior management positions for at least 10 years.
- Individuals who have demonstrated exceptional abilities in the practice of management in corporate field, public or private sector organizations at senior leadership positions for a minimum period of 10 years.
- Candidates with non-business degrees such as Master’s in Psychology, Master’s in Social Work, Chartered Accountant, etc. would also be considered.
