Mumbai, 11 December 2020: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, the organizing Institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021, has released Exam Schedule for 27 papers/subjects.
Considering COVID 19 pandemic, the dates for the GATE-2021 examination have been spread out over a longer duration as 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th February 2021. Out of Exam Dates, two days are reserved for Zonal GATE officials who will conduct trial (mock test) for Invigilators, others exam conducting staff and preparation of exam centre including Sanitization and other activities.
IIT Bombay releases Exam Schedule of GATE 2021 for all 27 Papers
05th February 2021 (Friday) and 12 February 2021 (Friday) are reserved for such miscellaneous activities.
On 6th February (Saturday) Forenoon Session (09:30-12:30 hrs), exam for CE-1, IN, CY papers will be held. Meanwhile on the same day Afternoon Session (15:00 -18:00 hrs), exam for CE-2, PH, AR, BM, AE, and MN papers will be held.
CE, CS and ME will be conducted in two sessions. ES and XH are two new papers introduced in GATE -2021.
The results of the test will be released on 22 March 2021.
GATE 2021 saw a marginal rise of number application registrations in 20201. Overall, 8.82 lakh candidates have registered GATE 2021 compared to 8.77 Lakh candidates in GATE 2020.
The top three course choices for GATE 2021 are Mechanical Engineering (ME), Civil Engineering (CE) and Computer Science & Information Technology (CS). More than 1.6 lakh candidates registered for Mechanical Engineering paper while more than 1.5 Lakh candidates applied for Civil Engineering. Meanwhile, more than 1.4 Lakh candidates registered for Computer Science & Information Technology subject for GATE 2021.
