Madras, 24 March 2024: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, an Institute of National Importance, has launched a new MTech programmes in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence  for Academic Year 2024. This course will sharpen the candidates’ skill in areas like machine learning, deep learning, and big data analytics, among others.

Candidates must have qualified in GATE 2024 in the newly introduced DA (Data Science & AI paper). Other GATE disciplines are not eligible for MTech admission to the Department. Other qualifications/scholarship opportunities follow from the standard IIT Madras rules and regulations.

Candidates with B.Tech. Degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 and above can apply without GATE score.

Candidates who have completed 4 year degree program and admitted with Ministry of Education (MoE) assistantship (Half-Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA) will get ₹12,400/- per month for 24 months.

For 2024-25, there are total 31 MTech programmes available for admission in 18 departments of IIT Madras.

19 March 2024 (Tuesday)- Opening of Website for ONLINE applications

18 March 2024 (Monday)- COAP Registration (GATE Candidates Only)

22 March 2024 (Monday) – Registration for GATE Candidates

19 April 2024 (Friday) – Closing of Website for ONLINE applications
