Bangalore, 12 March 2021:  The National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) is a premier institute in India engaged in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research in natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. NIAS was conceived and established in 1988 by the vision and initiative of the late Mr J R D Tata.
