Full Time PhD with scholarship will be eligible for Institute Research Fellow.

Key Dates: The closing date for submission of online application is 25 January 2021. Application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST) for each programme is to be submitted through Online Payment Gateway.
Eligibility Conditions:
The general eligibility criterias for admission in all Departments/fields are given below.
These eligibility criterias are the absolute minimum; Departments may prescribe any other requirements over and above the minimum criteria, subject to the approval of the Convener, SPGB/Dean (Acadenic)/Chairmain Senate.
Engineering/ Technology:
a) Bachelor and Master degree in relavant discipline of Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in B.Tech/M.Tech;
OR
b) Bachelor degree in in relavant discipline of Engineering/ Technology from IITs / NITs / IIITs / other CFTIs with minimum 85% marks or 9.0 CGPA.
Basic Science: Master degree in in relavant discipline of Science with minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
English: Master degree in Englishwith minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
For SC/ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA will be considered.
In addition to the general criteria, the following category-wise additional essential criteria for PhD admission are compulsory:
For Full-Time – A GATE/NET qualification certificate is preferable for candidates having ME/M.Tech.
OR A valid GATE/NET qualification certificate is must for candidates having Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology and M.Sc.
For Part-Time – Minimum one year teaching/research/industry experience.
