As on 17 July 2021, there are eight Central Universities that have announced Admission for PhD Progarmmes for Academic Year 2021-22. The total number of PhD seats in these institutes are more than 2100.

Central University of Rajasthan Announces PhD Admission for 171 Seats in 25 Departments
Jaipur, Rajasthan, 16 July 2021: Central University of Rajasthan has announced PhD Admission for 2021-22 (Odd Semester). The total number of PhD Seats are 171 in 25 departments.
Candidates who have qualified any national level examinations (like NET/JRF of UGC/CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, GATE, GPAT and DBT-JRF etc.), sponsored candidates, teacher fellowship holders and eligible regular faculty members of CURAJ can apply for registration of the PhD Programmes.

Tezpur University Announces Admission 2021-22 for PhD, MTech, BTech programmes
Tezpur, 13 July 2021: Tezpur University, a Central University in Assam, has announced Admission to BTech, B.Tech. (Lateral entry), MTech and PhD Programmes for the academic year 2021-22.

University of Hyderabad Announces Admission 2021 ! 2,328 Seats for All Courses, 292 Seats for PhD
Hyderabad, 22 June 2021: University of Hyderabad (UoH), a central university, has Admissions to various courses for Academic Year 2020-21. University of Hyderabad will conduct Entrance Examination 2021 for its various programmes.

New Delhi, 18 June 2021: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India’s top ranked university in general stream, has already released Admission Policy and e- Prospectus for 2021-22.
Programmes for 2021-22: The candidates shall be considered for admission to the following programmes: PhD, MTech, MPH, PGD, MA, MSc, MCA, MBA, BTech+MTech/MS, BA (Hons.) 1st year in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc. Integrated programme and Part-Time courses.
Through JNU Entrance Examination 2021, the total number of PhD Seats available are 662.
Through NET-JRF, the total number of PhD Seats available are 318.

South Asian University New Delh Re-Opens Admission Portal for PG & PhD Programmes AY 2021-22
New Delhi, 09 April 2021: South Asian University (SAU) Entrance Test has been postponed and fresh test dates will be announced shortly.
In view of the postponement of the entrance test, applications for admissions have been re-opened.
South Asian University (SAU), an international university established by the eight member nations of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC), has re-opened the application for Admissions 2021-22.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University PhD Admission : 146 Seats in 23 subjects
Hyderabad, 10 July 2021: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad, a Central University, has invited online applications for admission to regular mode PhD, Post-Graduate, Undergraduate and Diploma/Certificate programmes offered by the University at its Hyderabad Main Campus and Satellite Campuses, Colleges of Teacher Education (CTEs) and Polytechnics for the Academic year 2021-2022.
PhD Programmes: For PhD Programmes, the closing date for submission of application is 12 July 2021.
The total number seats available for PhD programmes are 146 across 23 subjects.
