Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD and MS (by Research) programmes under regular/part-time/external schemes of the institute. Half-Time Research Assistantship (HTRA) funded by MHRD as well as fellowships from other funding agencies like CSIR, UGC, DST, ICMR, ICAR, AICTE etc. are available for those who have qualified for these schemes.
Candidates with B.E / B.Tech / B.S (4 year) can apply to pursue Direct Admission to M.S.+Ph.D in Engineering/Sciences after their Bachelor’s Degree. Meritorious M.S scholars with CGPA>8.0 are eligible to upgrade to the Ph.D. programme in the same department and will receive two degrees (M.S.+Ph.D.) on completion of the programme.
Key Dates: Last date for submission of completed application form through on-line for January 2019 admission from 31 October 2018. Date of Admission is 02 January 2019. The date of orientation is 03 January 2019.
