Kolkata, 05 November 2023: S N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, a premier autonomous research institute fully aided by the Department of Science and Technology, invites applications for mid- term admission into PhD Programme in Physical, Chemical & Biological Sciences for the Academic Year 2023-24.

The programme is fully residential and the students are offered on-campus accommodation and boarding facilities. The Centre charges no fee for the programme.

Key Dates: On-line Application has started on 01 November 2023 and will close on 21 November 2023.

Eligibility Conditions:

Basic Qualification: MSc/Masters with First Class/Division i.e., minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Further Qualifications required in addition to Basic Qualification:

CSIR-NET-JRF */ UGC-NET-JRF with award letter having validity at least upto January 2024.

OR

NBHM 2023 doctoral scholarship with award letter having validity at least upto January 2024

OR

INSPIRE** – PROVISIONALLY SELECTED and Award Letter to be valid up to January 2024.

OR

UGC-MANF (Maulana Azad National Fellowship For Minority Students) / UGC-NFSC (National

Fellowship for Scheduled Caste students) / UGC-NFOBC (National Fellowship for OBC Candidate) along with a valid award letter having validity at least upto January 2024.
