As on 10 March 2023, Three State Universities have announced PhD Admission for 2022-23. Aspiring students should track admission information. The total number of vacant PhD seats are more than 1500.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Opens PhD Admission 2023
New Delhi, 10 April 2023: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU), a state university in NCT Delhi, has announced PhD Admission for 2023-24. The university will conduct PhD Entrance Test (PET) in June 2023.
Admission to the Ph.D. programme in various University Schools of Study and Centres of Excellence in the University shall be through a Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the University. Those students, who have qualified for fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET /GATE/CEED and other similar National Level Tests, shall be exempted from the entrance test conducted by the University for admission to the Ph.D. programme. However, they shall have to apply for admission to the University by filling up the online application form available at the University website.

Mahatma Gandhi University Kotayyam Announces PhD Admission 2023 for 1286 Seats
Kotayyam, 09 April 2023: Mahatma Gandhi University, a state university in Kerala, has invited applications from eligible candidates for PhD Admission 2023.
Total vacant PhD Seats: Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala has informed that the total number of vacant PhD seats 1286. These PhD seats are available in 36 subjects.
Conditions of Eligibility
Candidates applying for PhD Entrance Examination shall have passed a Post Graduate Degree examination in any discipline of Mahatma Gandhi University or of any other Universities recognised as eligible thereto, with not less than 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed (without adding grace marks) and who has secured a Post Graduate Degree or an equivalent Professional Degree satisfying the condition detailed above from a foreign educational institution which is accredited by authorised agencies.
However, a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% (without adding grace mark) or an equivalent relaxation of grade, shall be granted to those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled and for candidates who have obtained their Post Graduate Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
Karnatak University Dharwad Opens PhD Admission 2023 for 241 Seats
Dhardwad, 28 March 2023: Karnatak University, Dharwad, a state university in Karnatak, has released PhD Admission Notification for 2022-2023. The total number vacant seats are 241 across 33 subjects. Both PhD Regular and PhD Part Time programmes are available.
