New Delhi, 27 March 2026: In India there are more than 50 Central Universities, which are controlled by Govt of India.

As on 27 March 2026, there are two Central Universities have announced PhD for 2025-26 Academic Year.  The total number of vacant seats are expected to be 1,250.

Hyderabad, 26 March 2026: The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for 2025-26.   EFLU invites applications from aspiring candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Programmes through an All-India Entrance Test to be conducted by the University exclusively for non-NET candidates.

Candidates who have already qualified UGC-NET/JRF and have submitted their applications in response to the notification dated 25.06.2025 will be eligible to be called for the interview and need not apply again under this notification.

The total number of vacant seats are 152.

Central University of Kerala Announces PhD Admission 2026 (CSIR-UGC-JRF Category)

Kasaragod, 23 February 2026:  Central University of Kerala has announced PhD Admission on a rolling basis for admission to the PhD Programme in various Schools Departments exclusively from candidates holding valid CSIR- UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Key Dates:  The window of the Notification will be open upto 31 December 2026

(A) Candidates who have completed  Two year/four semester h/asters Degree after a three year Bachelor Programme, with a minimum of 55o/o marks aggregate or equivalent grade.

OR

One year/two semester [Vasters Degree after a four year Bachelor

Programme, with a minimum of 55% marks aggregate or equivalent grade.

OR

Four year Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 75 % marks in aggregaie or its equivalent grade.
