Mumbai: The 54th Convocation Ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) will be held on 13 August 2016 (Saturday). The ceremony will be organised at Convocation Hall of the institute. All the students of various programmes who complete their prescribed academic requirement will become eligible for the award of the Degree in the Convocation.

IIT Bombay who has been the most preferred destination of JEE Advanced  Top Rank holders will celebrate its 54th Convocation. The first convocation of the premier institute was held in 1962. The Institute has already decided that Khadi will be their Convocation robe.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) stood at 35 place of QS Asia Top Universities and was the second highest rank holder behind Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in India.  The institute is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research.
