Mumbai: Students from schools across India will have the opportunity to win a study trip to a leading Australian university by participating in the A2OZ India Schools Video Competition 2016. Organized by The Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Australian Government and Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), part of The University of Cambridge, the competition is open to students studying in grades 9 to 11 from schools across India.
This is the second consecutive year for Credila Education Loans to be associated with this prestigious and unique competition. The 3rd edition of the annual A2OZ India Schools Video Competition allows students to explore next generation fields of study in areas of growing career opportunity. The Competition involves production of short films by students around the themes of aerospace, nanotechnology, earth sciences, story-telling through dance and construction management.
The winning teams for all the five themes will have the opportunity to participate in a study programme in University of Sydney, RMIT, Australian National University, Maquarie University and University of Southern Queensland. This would also include return flight tickets from India to Australia, for two students and an accompanying teacher, accommodation, and other travel and living expenses in Australia for the study programme.

Registration for the competition commences on 9 November 2016 and the submission of competition video entries is between 15 to 25 February, 2017.
Technical sessions on video production will be conducted for schools and students across India participating at the competition in December 2016. The sessions will feature Australian experts that will train the participants on film making and production.
Speaking about the competition, Leonie Muldoon, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner – South Asia, Australian Trade and Investment Commission said, ” An objective of the A2OZ competition is to broaden the horizons of Indian students and expose them to new study options to consider, particularly in fields that link to careers of the future. There are around 67000 Indian students currently studying in Australia. We would like to invite more Indian students to study in Australia in courses where Australia is a world leader and this includes educational programmes in archaeology, earth & marine sciences, mineral & mining engineering, environmental sciences, nursing, pharmacy & pharmacology and veterinary science. Australia is also a significant international education destination for emerging or future careers in areas ranging from technology, digital, robotics, media & entertainment, scientific research, health, future materials, etc. These programmes will provide Indian students the foundation for a global career in areas of future employment growth,” said Leonie Muldoon.
