Bangalore: The Association of Test Publishers (ATP), an international, non-profit organization representing providers of tests and assessment tools and services, hosts the second annual ATP conference on 9 November, 2016 at the Habitat Centre in New Delhi. ATP has announced today the plans and speakers for the second annual ATP conference while the theme of this year conference is The Future of Higher Education Assessments: Developing an Ecosystem of Quality Examination.
This year’s conference is being hosted by I-ATP in academic partnership with The College Board and ACT. Chief Guest for this event is Prof. Ved Prakash, Chairman, University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The one-day programme on 09 November 2016, which is a non-fee event for delegates, will present sessions and workshops exploring topics on understanding data; the decision-making processes involved in developing high-quality, credible assessments; considerations in adopting psychometric standards; and other similar topics related to higher education testing and assessment.
Serving as keynote speaker is Dr. C. Peter Magrath, whose extensive higher education administration experience includes serving as head of five major universities in the U.S. including Brown University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Binghamton University, University of Minnesota and the University of Missouri, before assuming the presidency of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grand Colleges (NASULGC), now the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities (APLU). APLU has since established the C. Peter Magrath Community Engagement Award in his honor, funded by the Kellogg Foundation, to recognize the outreach and engagement partnership efforts of four-year public universities.
The Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) is as a Gold Sponsor and Internet Testing Systems (iTS) as a Silver Sponsor. Delegates will receive a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of this non-fee event.
Established in 1992, The Association of Test Publishers (ATP) is an international, non-profit, trade organization representing providers of tests and assessment tools and/or services related to assessment for clinical, occupational, certification, licensing, educational or other similar uses. The India ATP (I-ATP) is a Regional Division of the Association of Test Publishers that brings together Indian test publishers and related organizations for the purposes of networking, sharing innovative ideas and creating both educational and marketing opportunities related to testing and assessment.
