New Delhi: NIIT, a global leader in skills and talent development entered into an exclusive partnership with Indian Institute of Technology (IIM) Calcutta to offer Post Graduate Certificate in General Management (PGCGM). As per the agreement, the programme will be delivered through a combination of online and offline modes. The online component will be in direct-to-device mode through the training.com (an initiative of NIIT) learning platform. In addition, the programme will also have campus visit components at IIM Calcutta.

NIIT has informed through a statement that through this partnership NIIT and IIM Calcutta aim to create high-impact learning experience by bridging the gap between quality, affordability and accessibility. IIM Calcutta is the first Indian business school crowned with triple international accreditations by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and EQUIS (the three major international accreditation bodies for Business Schools).

The duration of the program is one year. Three hour sessions over the online platform will be held twice a week. The program includes three campus modules for which participants are required to come to IIM Calcutta campus at Kolkata thrice during the span of one year for face-to-face sessions.

The Post Graduate Certificate in General Management (PGCGM) will equip the participants with familiarity of the primary functional specializations in management, imbibe a global perspective drawing upon knowledge of economic, social, technological, regulatory and political forces and acquire the leadership qualities and the competence needed for leading organizational change. Graduates who have appeared for CAT or GMAT in the past 3 years are eligible to apply for the programme. The first batch will commence from February, 2017 onwards and the last date of registration is 30 November 2016.
