Mumbai:  Do you aspire to pursue career in the PSU banking sector in the specialist officer category posts? Recruitment Notification for more than four thousands of Specialists Officer posts (Scale I) under various fields such as IT Officer, Law Officer, Marketing Officer, HR & Personnel Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari,  Agriculture Field Officer has been released by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) under the name Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-VI). In the PSU Banking sector, Scale I Posts are generally considered Assistant Manager.

There are twenty PSU banks are participating in the Common Recruitment Process for Specialists Officers. The participating banks are as followed: Allahabad Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Syndicate Bank, Bank of Baroda, Corporation Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Union Bank of India, Bank of India, Dena Bank, Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, IDBI Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank and Vijaya Bank.  The Online Examination will tentatively be held in January 2017 across India.  The online registration of application will commence from 16 November 2016 while the last date for submission of online application is 02 December 2016.

Eligibility:

Age: (As on 01.11.2016): As per the recruitment Notification, Minimum age is 20 years and Maximum age is 30 years.  A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.11.1986 and not later than 01.11.1996 (both dates inclusive). Upper Age Relaxation is available to reserved category candidates as per Government Laws and Rules.

Note: * In case of dual specialisations, one of the fields of specialisation should be in the field prescribed. In case of major/ minor specialisations, major specialisation should be in the stream prescribed. Candidates having PG Degree (MMS or MBA)/PG Diploma with more than two specialisations are not eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure: All eligible candidates will have to appear the online CWE test, which will be held in January 2016. The exact date and schedule will be announced by IBPS on its official website. For structure of CWE Online Test for various categories of officers, interested candidates are requested to refer the Recruitment Notification uploaded on the official website of IBPS.

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

The Recruitment Notification mentioned that Candidates, shortlisted in the examination for CRP SPL-VI, will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the nodal banks with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20.

The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in CWE (SPL-VI) and Interview. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent allotment process, details of which will be available subsequently on IBPS website.

Vacancies:  There are a total number of 4,122 posts are vacant under various categories of specialist officers.  The Recruitment Notification said that these figures are tentative in nature and anticipated as communicated by the participating organisations.
