New Delhi: The Delhi – NCR Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, are conducting the 7th season of their global educational program “TiE Young Entrepreneurs” for school students in association with CL Educate, IIT-Delhi, Lufthansa, The Global Education & Leadership Foundation (tGELF) and Jitin Chawla’s Centre for Career Development. The program focuses on students from classes 9th to 12th across Delhi NCR, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
The sessions started on 16th October, 2016 at IIT-Delhi and the classes are spread over eight Sundays. Students from across Delhi-NCR region, Hisar, Sonipat, Chandigarh, Rudrapur and Muzzafarnagar will get the opportunity to be mentored by the brightest minds of the country. The curriculum includes Team Building, Marketing, Business Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Finance, Business Plan Writing, Presentation Skills, Leadership Skills & Opportunity Recognition. There would be special sessions for sharpening presentation skills and team work.
“With TYE, TiE Delhi-NCR aims to provide a platform for students to get holistic learning, think outside the box, explore options and enable them to get first-hand experience of what it means to be an entrepreneur,” says Geetika Dayal, Executive Director of TiE Delhi-NCR. “This is a lifetime opportunity for students to learn from professionals and high achievers. The students would be mentored on how to spot opportunity and create a business strategy. The brightest minds of tomorrow will learn from the best minds of today”.
The TYE Initiative emphasises on fostering tactical skills in the young students and aims to nurture entrepreneurial skills at an early stage. A total of 115 students have registered for this season with many more waiting in the wings for the next edition. As part of the TYE educational program; students will participate in a Business Plan Competition at the local chapter level and then the winning teams from all the participating chapters will get the chance to compete at the global level in the US as a part of the global initiative.
