Kanpur, 09 October 2022: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, announced eMasters Degree for January 2023 Batch for Working Professionals. GATE Score is not required for selection into this program.
The four eMasters include programs in Communication Systems; Cybersecurity; Power Sector Regulation, Economics & Management; and Quantitative Finance and Risk Management.
Key Features of eMasters:
- Learn while you earn, with a flexibility to complete the program between 1 to 3 years.
- Waiver of upto 60 credits for higher education (MTech/PhD) at IIT Kanpur.
- Weekend-only Live interactive sessions coupled with self-paced learning.
- Become an IIT Kanpur alumni with access to all the alumni privileges.
- Selection will be based on the academic and professional background.
Eligibility
Bachelor’s Degree (4 years program) or a Masters Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks or 5.5/10 CPI. Minimum of 2 years of work experience (One need not be currently employed to be eligible). Candidates with relevant experience will be preferred.

The 60 credit, 12 module industry-focused curriculum offers flexible completion timelines (one to three years), IIT Kanpur alumni status, access to IIT Kanpur’s placement cell, alumni network, and incubation cell. The credits earned during the program can be transferred to an advanced degree (regular M.Tech. or Ph.D.) at IIT Kanpur by a participant selected to pursue the advanced degree and subject to Senate approval. Corporates can also sponsor the programs for their employees.
