Mumbai: Learning and Development (L&D) Global, a world-wide network of Learning and Development Practitioners, is expanding its activities and operations. The L&D Global group has chalked out plans to increase memberships by opening new local chapters across India.
L&D Global will open its Pune Chapter on 6 August 2016. Currently, the network has six chapters in major cities in India: Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Chennai. Mr Surya Prakash Mohapatra, founder of the global network, said that in addition to Pune chapter, the group will open more new chapters in the cities like Kolkata, Cochin and Baroda in the next six months. Mr Mohapatra informed that the group will organize a national summit of L&D practitioners by end of the year where more than 600 delegates across the country would participate.
“The mission of L&D Global is popularly known as 3 Cs: Collaborate, Co-create and Contribute. The primary activities of the group are facilitating forums where members can collaborate, share and learn best practices and exchange ideas, facilitating networking among members across different cities and countries, and conducting training programs, Webinars, ‘Chat with Expert’ sessions for members.” said Mr Mohapatra.
L&D Global opened its Bhubaneswar Chapter on 3 July 2016, which is playing a key role in eastern part of India in executing the group’s mission. The group has plans to partner with Universities, Institutions, corporations to build synergies in the learning and development space going forward, Mr Mohapatra informed.
L&D Global is a world-wide network of Learning and Development Practitioners and the network has over 30,000 members across industries, counties and cultures. The global network was founded by Surya Prakash Mohapatra, a senior Industry thought leader in the HR space, in September 2011.
