WILL Education Expanding Upskilling Solutions: AI Skills on Focus

Skilloutlook Team has an email interactions with  Dr. Antarpreet Singh, Director-Academics, WILL Education recently on various aspects of AI in Skills, women leadership program and AI Skills for HR Managers.

  1. With the boom of AI skills in a variety of different fields, how is WILL working on incorporating AI skills into its courses?

AI has brought massive disruption in the way we work, collaborate, make decisions. AI led workstyles require harmonious human-machine collaboration and ethical adoption of AI. This requires continuous upskilling of the workforce to make them future-ready. Work integrated learning for leadership (WILL) is an upskilling leader focussed to bridge a massive gap that exists between the AI led future skills and the current skill levels of workforce in the industry. WILL has designed several courses (overall for business as well as HRM vertical). These certificate courses have been designed for experienced business professionals with a view to upskill them and equip them with a skill set that helps in leveraging AI adoption and use in business and HRM. WILL AI centric courses focus on key opportunities as well as associated challenges in AI adoption at workplace. The courses deal with the ways to mitigate AI adoption-related challenges to fully leverage AI in business and create superior business value for all the stakeholders.

  1. Please elaborate on the Shakti women leadership program.

SHAKTI – A Women Leadership certification program is a unique offering from WILL (with UPES as an academic partner) for the industry. SHAKTI addresses leadership for women at three levels: Personal, Interpersonal and Strategic. The several competing women leadership products in the market do not go beyond behavioural competencies. It is a fact that several industry verticals (without an exception) are male-dominated when we talk in the context of senior/top leadership positions. Our SHAKTI certification aims to bridge this significant gap and upskills women leaders in various behavioural, functional, and strategic competencies that are key drivers of organizational success.

The program’s uniqueness stems from the fact that it has a sharp focus on future-readiness – which helps an organization to navigate complexity, fluidity, and turbulence effectively, helping an organization to sustain its competitive advantage that further helps an organization to gain market power. Shakti’s design leverages new-generation pedagogy and keeping with the global trend SHAKTI uses a hybrid model that combines physical immersions with online classes. The standard duration of SHAKTI certification is 40 hours (30% physical and 70% online). The program can be customized depending on the specific needs of an industrial client.

  1. Share some key highlights on the AI Skills for HR managers management development program and how it is different from other programs offered by other universities.

AI Skills for HR managers is part of WILL Exclusive portfolio and this certification course is tailored for experienced HR professionals who are seeking to enhance their understanding and expertise related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration within the HRM function. The primary objective of the program is to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills to leverage AI for several use cases in HR ecosystem. The certification program equips HR leaders with the desired competencies that are critical to driving HR digital transformation initiatives in the organization. The program besides presenting the key opportunities and functional use cases for AI in HRM, also helps participants understand the critical challenges associated with AI adoption in the HRM vertical including the ethical considerations, issues like Algorithmic bias and distribution necessary for responsible adoption of AI in HRM.

  1. What are the objectives of WILL’s leadership programs, and how are they customized for women, senior leaders, and young potential leaders?

The key objective of all WILL leadership programs is to equip young and mid-level leaders with requisite skills that help them to navigate complex and turbulent business environments. This is key to their organizations creating superior business value and sustaining distinct competitive advantage in the market. WILL Leadership programs have a unique design as these focus on future skills and future readiness of the participants. This enhances the ability of leaders to confidently drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. WILL leadership programs have a rich blend of behavioural, functional and strategic competencies thereby offering very well-rounded upskilling solutions based on a new generation pedagogy. WILL leadership programs are designed to have an architecture that supports a modular structure. The modules are designed to address specific needs and challenges faced by the leadership, such as adapting to new technology, accelerating innovation and change and inculcating respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  1. What are WILL’s plans for expanding its portfolio of upskilling solutions?

At WILL we keep innovation and future readiness at the center stage while designing industry-friendly certification programs. Some of these certifications are offered in association with our national and international training partners and facilitators who are well known industry experts. We plan to bring in senior and mid-level leadership programs (SLP and MLP) that are industry and function-agnostic. The key objective of these programs is to help organizations develop a leadership pipeline. We plan to further strengthen LEAP, a long-term management development program (10 months) for young leaders in the organization. In addition, Product Management, Digital Transformation, Digital Leadership, and AI Ethics are some of the prominent development programs that we intend to take to the industry.
