New Delhi:  Digiperform, India’s widest digital marketing training network with 18 delivery centres across 6 states, has launched a certificate course tailor-made for people looking for their first job in digital marketing industry. This Digital Marketing Executive Course is a first-of-its-kind initiative as the course is created after surveying job requirements of over 450 small and big digital marketing agencies and corporate houses with in-house digital marketing wings located in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Digiperform further plans to train 50,000 individuals in the next financial year for which they have identified 100 new locations in India and have also started their partner development program. The curriculum of the course is developed completely based on the feedback of this survey.

The survey results showed that high attrition rate, low job-readiness, sub-standard presentation skills and shaky marketing foundation knowledge are the four major issues plaguing agencies while hiring a fresher. Thus, the course has been constructed to give hands-on training with a mix of practical, research and assignments. The resources getting trained under this program will be developed to manage multiple roles and tools at the executive level. This will not only develop resources in multiple disciplines of digital marketing but will also give employers an edge to quickly mould and integrate them into their current delivery process.

The registration for this course opens from coming April. The course modules have been divided to fit in a six months’ time frame and any graduate is eligible to apply for the same.

Vaibhav Vats, Co-founder, Digiperform commented, “During the survey, we realised that agencies are loaded with accounts so booking revenue is not their problem, but servicing the clients due to lack of right manpower at the executive level is. This is also affecting their ability to scale up as people at senior levels have to spend a lot of time handholding the freshers. Also, over 80% people taking internships are leaving or switching these agencies in first six months which creates a loss of both time and money. So, agencies are more than happy to pay a little extra salary to those joining at executive level but are job ready from day one and also motivated enough to take these roles seriously for a longer period of time.”

Manu Jolly, Co-founder, Digiperform and a serial entrepreneur commented, “The idea of this training program stemmed from my experience some 15 years ago in my earlier venture in banking BPO industry. Employee attrition and partially trained manpower were a big issue there as well. We created a similar training program for the freshers we hired with one of our training partners then. It improved their efficiency manifolds which eventually helped us become the largest cheque processing company in India before being acquired by one of the biggest private banks in India.”
