New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the results of Chartered Accountants Final Examination & Common Proficiency Test (CPT) held in May /June, 2017 respectively. Following the declaration of results of CA Final Exam May 2017, a total of 10,276 candidates qualified as Chartered Accountants.
In a press release, ICAI informed that the pass % in Group I of CA Final Exam is 13.82% while the pass % in Group II is 16.2%. The success rate for Passed one of the Groups / Both Groups stands at 22.93%.
Raj Paresh Sheth, from Dombivali (Mumbai), has secured the All India Topper position in CA Exam May 2017. Agathiswaran S stands second topper while Krishna Pawan Gupta emerges as third topper in the exam.
Nilesh S. Vikamsey, President, ICAI on this occasion stated “Success is no accident, It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing.”
While encouraging the successful students Vikamsey added,” The nation has high hopes from Chartered Accountants as they are multidimensional professionals having expertise and knowledge to handle today’s robust corporate dynamics. Be honest, sincere, truthful, humble and polite. Be mindful of your thoughts and actions. Remember that you are respected for your character first and then for your achievements.”
The total number of students admitted in the Final Exams is 1, 32,007. Final Exams were held in 372 centres in India and overseas locations.
The total number of students admitted in in the CPT Exams is 93,262. CPT exam was held across the globe in 372 centres. In India there are 368 Centers and 4 Centers are in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Kathmandu.
IN CPT June 2017 exam, a total number of 88, 916 appeared the exam while 36,028 candidates were qualified. The pass % for CPT June 2017 stands at 40.52%.
Since December 1949, the Chartered Accountancy Examination is held twice in a year in the months of May/June and November/December.
