Common man expects far above the ground from their neighbouring police station. Working under challenging conditions themselves, the police officers often struggle to uphold their duties as public servants, spouses, parents, and children. Their endeavour to deliver their best in every role they play a part in is commendable.
The police department have shown courage and heroism during the Covid-19 pandemic through their extended working hours and amplified responsibilities. Several have laid down their lives while doing so, and it is only just that we do something for them and their families who have equally undergone hardships with them. Having said that, I do recognise and appreciate the work of each and every frontline worker across the country and world over. We will continue to support and champion them in every way we can, but we need to start taking action, and that is what we are doing with the Scholarship.
Our police departments need to adapt to frequent changes from facing no-win drug wars to patrolling the roads of most corrupted and crime-infested areas. They have endangered their lives to keep us safe. And they did not think twice when it came to guard the nation and her citizens from the clutches of Coronavirus. Their unswerving determination to uphold harmony even when the pandemic was wreaking havoc has moved my heart. The Yashwant Dnyanarthi Shishyavratti Scholarship is my way of showing respect and gratitude to the valiant men and women of Maharashtra Police who have always arduously fought against tribulations of the society and kept us safe.
Which led me to believe that we need to invest in education. I don’t want intelligent minds to be squandered when they can be moulded and made productive. A scholarship will help these burgeoning talents to pursue their envisioned path and reach the zeniths of their career.
I passionately believe in empowering the people of India to get an education. It is education that drives our economy, with India’s education system being the finest in the world I believe an amalgamation of the best of the East with the West to provide our students a truly equipped package with life skills that will help them face all the vicissitudes and challenges that come their way.
The New Education Policy 2020 by Government of India addresses the current issue in the Indian education system, in fact, various practices like innovative pedagogy, outcome-based education, international benchmarking, student-centred approach, flexibility in curriculum, promotion of multilingualism, high-end integration of technology, have all been a part of teaching-learning process at our university. With an aim to create an experiential learning for our students at our university we support government’s new reform on education this year and thrive to provide world-class education facilities to our students.
With this we consider this top priority to provide high class education to children of our frontline workers, the children of our Police force, in the form of scholarships and admission, to give them an equal opportunity in their academic journey and beyond.
