Jammu: HR Conclave 6.0, the signature event of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, will be held at IIM Jammu on the 14th and 15th of October 2023 along with the International Human Resource Conference (IHRCC). IIM Jammu’s HR Conclave (HRC) provides a forum for HR Industry experts to share their knowledge on overcoming challenges in today’s dynamic world. HRC aspires to resonate with IIM Jammu’s motto – ” (It is the knowledge that liberates)” – and its vision – “To develop leaders and entrepreneurs who can perform globally and make a significant contribution to Society and the Corporate World.” This Conference cum Conclave would aid global experts, researchers, and academicians in expanding their horizons and exchanging ideas on HR and how it adapts to the ever-changing business environment.

HR Conclave 6.0 is an annual flagship event known for its remarkable contributions to the field of human resources and management. The conclave will explore critical topics, trends, and challenges facing the HR sector in today’s dynamic business landscape.

The International HR Conference scheduled on 14-15th Oct 2023, held in conjunction with HR Conclave 6.0, is an extraordinary platform for cross-cultural knowledge sharing and collaboration. Distinguished speakers and experts from various corners of the world will converge to discuss global perspectives on human resource management. Academicians, Industry experts and HR practitioners, I/O psychologists, and Research scholars in I/O psychology, OB-HR, and its allied domains will be attending the International HR conference. The conference will provide a comprehensive shared experience and understanding of the recent trend in HR and allow us to have a collective space and time to engage with the state-of-the-art capacity and necessary training: acknowledging the Indian and world social-economic text. This event will dwell on the voices of collectives and industry experts, academicians, and researchers to chart the new path consciously together.

Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, expressed his enthusiasm stating that, “IIM Jammu is all set to host HR Conclave 6.0 and the International HR Conference. These gatherings provide a unique opportunity for academia and industry to come together, sharing their experiences and research. It is our sincere belief that this confluence of ideas will lead to innovative solutions to some of the most pressing HR challenges faced by organizations today.”

Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics and Chairperson Placements, IIM Jammu, added, “In an era where the role of human resources is continuously evolving, our upcoming HR Conclave 6.O aim to serve as a catalyst for professionals and researchers to explore new paradigms in HRM. The International HR Conference, in particular, is a testament to our commitment to fostering global perspectives and networking opportunities.”

The theme of the sixth HR Conclave 6.0 is ‘HR in a Dynamic Business Environment.’ The HR Conclave and International Conference will be presided over by a variety of distinguished corporate figures and academicians. HR Conclave 6.0 will be inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in the presence of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu; Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics and Chairperson of Placements at IIM Jammu; and Dr. Baljeet Singh, Co-Chairperson of Placements, Dr. Guangpuanang Kahmei, Conference Chair, International HR Conference and Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Conference Co-Chair, International HR Conference at IIM Jammu. There will be seven panels at the event, each discussing a distinct topic related to the event’s theme.

Mr. Deepak Taduru, Vice President Talent Acquisition, Godrej Agrovet Limited, Dr. Roy Kshemendra Sharma, Head of Communications & Customer Centricity, Tata AIA Life Insurance will be the Keynote Speakers on 14th Oct 2023. The event’s opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on October 14, 2023.

On the first day of the event, the first three panels will be presented. The topic of discussion of the first panel is – “Future Demands – HR Reskilling,” which will be presided over by Mr. Deep Banerjee, Associate Vice President-HR, Godrej Agrovet Limited, Mr. Rupesh Gupta, Senior Director – HR, Snapdeal, Mr. Paramveer Singh Narang, India Head Talent Acquisition, Capital One, Ms. Tania Rauth, Human Resource Lead, HCCB, Ms. Manavi Pathak, Head – Learning and Organizational Development, Samsung R&D, Mr. Govind Singh Negi, Head of Talent-Europe and India, Delivery Center Lead-India, 3Pillar Global.

The second panel will be titled ”Adapting to Changing Working Dynamics: Managing Workforce Through a Screen” and will be moderated by Ms. Monica Diwan, HRBP Leader, GFK; Mr. Ravi Rangaraju, Senior HR Business Partner, Thomson Reuters; Mr. Amanpreet Kaur, Senior HR Business Partner, Lenovo; Ms. Ashwini Panwar, Vice President Workforce Management, Barclays; Mr. Yogesh Luthra, Head of Talent Acquisition, IGT Solutions, Mr. Hemant Kumar Ravi, Head of Human Resources, Kantar.

The third panel discussion will be on “Metamorphosis in Business: Gearing Up for Transition in a Post-COVID World” presided by Ms. Sirisha Tangirala, Human Resource Director, Greenway Health; Mr. Rollince Peter, Director HR, Thermo Fisher Scientific; Ms. Monika Garg, Senior Manager, Global HR Operations Support, Fresenius Medical Care; Mr. C I Shetty, President Human Resource, Alembic Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Swarnpreet Singh, Head Campus Recruitment, Niva Bupa health insurance.

Mr. Ashissh Kaul, Director – Knowledge and Advisory & Business Head, SHRM and Mr. Rohith Kumar, CHRO, McDonalds India will be the Session Chair and Keynote Speaker for the second day of the HR Conclave 6.0.

The second day of the conference will begin with a panel discussion on “Navigating Cross-Generational Dynamics in the Workplace.” The panel will be chaired by Mr. Rahul Bagale, Group HR Head, Force Motors Ltd, Mr. Lopamudra Banerjee, Deputy Director HR – South East Asia & Head HR India, Carrier Midea, Ms. Jaya Lakshmi, People Partner, Google, Mr. Abhinav Iyer, GAR OD Director, Intel Corporation, Ms. Rekha Manola, Talent Acquisition Manager & India TA DE&I Program Manager, HP.

The fifth panel will be titled “Beyond Profits: Making a Difference in Communities We Touch” and the panelists will be Mr. Samuel Justus, Lead Talent Engagement – Campus, Diageo, Mr. Sushant Kumar, India Lead- Univ Relations & Early Talent Hiring, TATA Technologies, Ms. Dipti Naidu, Manager- HRBP, Mastercard, Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Head HR, Aaj enterprise, Mr. Akshay Rakshit, Manager – HRBP, BMW, and Mr. Shivendu Chatterjee, Designation & Company: Global Lead – Learning and Development, I Quanti.

The Sixth panel will consist of Mr. Setu Shah, Global HCM Product Strategy Director, Oracle, Mr. Mibin Babichand, Associate Director HR Operations, Cognizant; Mr. Yahya Rasheed, Global Head of L&D, HCL Tech, Mr. Andrews Simon, SVP TA, eClerx, Ms. Charitha Paramanandam, Head-Global HR Shared Services, Concentrix, Ms. Raeesa Naim, Director – People & Culture, Grant Thornton who will be discussing on the topic “Approaching an AI-Centric Workforce”.

The final and seventh panel of the event will discuss “The Role of HR in Patient-Centric Care: Building a Patient-Focused Workforce” featuring Mr. Nikhil Anand, Human Resource Head, Dr. Lal Path Lab, Mr. Pankaj Phatak, Head TA, Talent & Performance Management – Global Manufacturing Operations, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Mr. Jayesh Vispute, Human Resource Head, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Mona Puri, Executive Director Human Resources, India & Asia Pacific, Parexel International.

The valedictory ceremony will feature Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics and Chairperson Placements and Dr. Baljeet Singh, Co-Chairperson, Placements.

The HR Conclave 6.0 and International HR Conference will feature a lineup of esteemed speakers, engaging panel discussions, workshops, and research presentations. This HR Conclave and International HR Conference is being organized by the industry Interaction Cell of IIM Jammu so that students can gain more corporate insights and obtain knowledge from the best in the industry. Participants can expect to delve into topics such as diversity and inclusion, talent management, digital transformation in HR, leadership in the age of disruption, and much more. The event will also serve to draw the attention of the business community to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and its commercial opportunities.
