Sabah, Malaysia, 22 November 2020: Dr Pasupuleti Visweswara Rao has been featured in a recent article published by a famous analyst group of Stanford University published in the journal of PLOS Biology. The article has ranked top scientists inclusive from various disciplines worldwide by normalizing all publication data across fields, which is inclusive of the top 2% of scientists of their respective main subfield disciplines.

Two files which are S6 and S7 clearly tabulated the data include all scientists who are among the top 100,000 across all fields according to the composite citation index. The database was created to provide the updated analyses and a publicly available database of 100,000 top Scientists that provide standardized information on citations, h-index(an index to measure an individual’s scientific research output ), co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator. Such citation metric provides a basis to measure and reflect the impact of a published journal.

Associate Professor Dr Pasupuleti Visweswara Rao (Dr P V Rao) from Universiti Malaysia Sabah at the department of Biomedical Sciences and Therapeutics, Faculty of medicine and health sciences is one among the listed scientists (Medicinal and Biomolecular Chemistry) by Stanford University. Dr P V Rao involves with the medicinal plants and natural product research, honey research, nanoparticle research which focuses mainly on the metabolic diseases specifically on diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases. Dr P V Rao also a visiting professor and visiting researcher to different countries including Japan, Thailand, Macau, Indoneisa, Malaysia and India.
