Bhubaneswar, 26 October 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar, an Institute of National Importance, has announced admission to PhD Programme under various disciplines from eligible candidates for 2021-22(Spring Semester).

The PhD programmes are available under the following categories: Institute Scholar, Sponsored Scholar, and Project Scholar (Projects running at IIT Bhubaneswar). Institute Scholars will be eligible for Institutional Fellowships as per Ministry of Education norms.

Opening date for online application         :               25 October, 2021

Last date for submission of online application     :               18 November, 2021 11:45 PM

For General and OBC Candidates, the application fee is Rs 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) while for SC/ST/PWD Candidates, the fee is Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only).  Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

PhD programmes are available in the following schools:  School of Basic Sciences; School of Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences;  School of Electrical Sciences; School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management; School of Infrastructure (Civil Engineering); School of Mechanical Sciences; School of Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Subjects: Biosciences, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences, Geology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, English, Psychology, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
