Shibpur, West Bengal: Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur, an Institute of National Importance, is looking for Temporary Faculty for the academic units. Appointment shall be made initially for one semester. It may be extended up to another semester on the basis of his/her performance at the end of the current semester.
The recruitment of faculty posts will through Walk-In-Interview mode. Faculty Posts are available at the given departments: Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Management Sciences; Architecture and Town & Regional Planning; Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering; Mining Engineering; Metallurgy and Materials Engineering; Humanities and Social sciences; School of Materials Science and Engineering; School of Community Science and Technology: and School of Mechatronics and Robotics.
Remuneration: The remuneration of the temporary faculty shall be a fixed consolidated amount of Rs.50,000.00 / month with no other allowances.
Eligibility Conditions: The candidate should have a PhD degree with first class (60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale) at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level in the relevant discipline. The candidates with first class (60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale) at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level having significant industrial experience and a consistently good academic record and good experience in UG/PG teaching may also be considered.
The age of the candidate must not exceed 64 years on the date of the interview.
