New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India and a Navratna PSU in India, is hiring engineers in Electrical, Electronics, Civil and Computer Science disciplines to join its fold as Assistant Engineer Trainee at E1 Trainee level. The recruitment of these posts is based on GATE 2017 score.
The total number of vacant posts are 150: AET (Electrical) -100 posts; AET (Electronics) -20 posts; AET (Civil) – 20 posts; AET (Computer Science) -10 posts.
Key Dates: The online application portal will open from 27 January 2018 onwards. The application portal will close on 17 February 2018. The candidates need to provide details of their GATE-2017 registration number and other required information while filling online application.
The cutoff date for eligibility criteria is 31 December 2016. Upper Age relaxation for reserved categories is available as per govt. norms.
Eligibility Conditions:
Valid Score in the GATE 2017. Candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2017. The qualifying marks as declared by GATE 2017 Organizing Body shall be considered.
Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on 31 December 2016.

Relaxation in marks in essential qualification for SC/ST/PwD candidates: Qualifying Marks in essential qualification is relaxed to pass marks for posts reserved for the respective category.
Selection Procedure: The selection process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the relevant paper of GATE 2017, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2017.
Candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2017.
Candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Interview shall be required to bring the documents as mentioned in their interview call letter.
