New Delhi, 08 October 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, an Institution of Eminence (IoE), has released Admission Notification for PhD, and MS (R) Programmes – Semester II 2021-22. IIT Delhi offers 30 PhD Programmes with extensive choices of specializations. Full Time PhD Scholars are eligible for Teaching/Research Assistantship.
IIT Delhi informed that meritorious students with a bachelor’s degree (such as BTech.) are advised to directly apply for the PhD programmes if they wish to pursue doctoral research.

Submission of online application commences on 11 October 2021 (12:00 noon)

Range of dates for Test / Interview December 01 – December 12, 2021
Date of Orientation and Registration for new students* December 31, 2021 – January 2, 2022

Financial Assistance & Other Support: A scheme for the award of Teaching/Research Assistantship for providing financial assistance to the students exists. In terms of this scheme, those non-sponsored students who are admitted on full-time basis are considered for the award of Teaching/Research Assistantship.

Selection Procedure: Admission to the PhD programmes is normally made on the basis of an interview of eligible candidates conducted by the Department/Centre/School concerned, through its Department Research Committee (DRC) / Centre Research Committee (CRC)/ School Research Committee (SRC). DRC/CRC/SRC may decide to conduct a written test as well, or multiple interviews, or other ways or testing, in order to screen the candidates.
