Manipal, 29 October 2020: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) invites application for All India PhD Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020 – Feb 2021 Admissions. The Online All India MET will be held on 12 & 13 December 2020.
All India PhD Manipal Entrance Test (MET): The mode of online test conduction will be through Remote Proctored Computer based Online Test. The entire test will be live proctored by the faculty team. The test can be taken with ease, in the safety & comfort of one’s home, adhering to the fair practices of the proctored test guidelines.
Eligible and selected candidates will get Dr TMA Pai PhD scholarship benefits. Under Dr TMA Pai Scholarship Scheme, a total of 200 fellowships would be awarded twice a year for eligible candidates and would be called the Dr TMA Pai fellows.
MAHE offers Doctoral (PhD) studies in a wide range of areas covering Allied Health, Architecture & Design, Atomic & Molecular Physics, Basic & Advanced Sciences, Commerce, Communication, Dental, Engineering, European Studies, Geopolitics & International Relations, Hotel Management & Culinary Arts, Humanities, Information Sciences, Life Sciences, Management, Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Regenerative Medicine, Statistics, Virus Research etc.

Last date for receipt of online applications is 30 November 2020.
The programme will commence from 01 February 2020.
Applicants can aspire for their full-time doctoral studies at MAHE Manipal under the following categories
Category 1
Candidates with GATE / UGC – CSIR – NET – JRF / ICMR – JRF / DBT – JRF / JEST / INSPIRE Fellowship or having qualified through other UGC recognized National or State level eligibility test with a valid fellowship, at the time of admission.
These candidates are exempted from the All India online PhD Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by MAHE Manipal and their selection to the PhD program would be by a panel of experts through an interview.
Category 2: Dr. TMA Pai Scholarships
Candidates who qualify through All India online PhD Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by MAHE Manipal, will be subjected to an institute / department level interview
Candidates shortlisted through the interview process will be eligible for grant-in-aid instituted by MAHE under the Dr TMA Pai PhD Scholarship Programme
A total of 200 scholarships per academic year would be awarded to the eligible candidates and such awardees would be called the Dr TMA Pai Fellows
Indian Qualifications
Medicine & Dental: MBBS / BDS / an undergraduate degree of atleast 5-years duration or MD / MS / MDS / PG Diploma from an institution recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) / Dental Council of India (DCI)
Pharmacy: PharmD or PharmD Post Baccalaureate from an institution / university recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)
Others: Master’s Degree or equivalent from an institution / university recognized by UGC / respective regulatory body
Duration: Six months probationary period + 3 years
Selection Process: Candidates shortlisted from the PhD Manipal Entrance Test (MET) for the personal interview can expect a department level screening, based on the proposed topics as per stream / Institute / Department chosen.
