Mumbia: Google India has emerged as the top among the best companies to work in India. While American Express India raked second, Ujjivan Financial Services Pvt Ltd stood at third in the India’s Best Companies to Work list prepared by Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW) in partnership with The Economics Times (ET). Fourth and fifth positions are claimed by Teleperformance India and Godrej Consumer Products, respectively. Other companies in the top ten are as followed: Marriott Hotels India (6), SAP Labs India (7) , The Oberoi Group (8), Lemon Tree Hotels (9), and Intuit India Product Development Centre (10).

For the current year India’s Best Companies to Work for 2016 study, about 800 organisations across industries in India, were in the race to claim the Top 100 spots. GPTW claimed that a total number of 155,119 employees were surveyed, making it the largest survey of workplace cultures in corporate India. The work excecise was based on two factors: a unique employee-centric framework that evaluates the levels of Trust, Pride and Camaraderie practiced in an organization; through a questionnaire seeking to understand the people management, philosophy and values of an organisation. The Economic Times was the official media partner of the programme.
