Mumbai:  Abhyuday, the social body of Indian Institute of technology (IIT) Bombay, presents a nationwide competition Action Plan with an objective to encourage youth to solve society’s grassroot level problems. Action plan is the flagship competition of Abhyuday, IIT Bombay.

This nationwide competition will take participating teams through stages starting from identifying a specific problem through stakeholder interaction, progressing to engage with stakeholders and organisations in developing a solution on sectors outlined below, and validating those ideas in the society for further improvement. The registration for participating, the competition closes on 5 October 2016.

All the teams will be mentored and guided by professionals who have been working in the social sector, in addition to many NGOs who have been working at grassroot levels for past many years. This effort would make teams of A-Plan, grounded in their approach, rounded in their functioning and a step forward to eliminating inefficiencies and suffering.

The final pitch will be held on 22 January 2017. There are prizes worth Rs 12 lakh and internship opportunity for winners. Further, incubation opportunity and professional mentorship opportunities are also lined up for the contest.

Over 500 students participated in Action Plan 2015. All the teams were from different parts of India and thus through this competition. For registration and more details on the event, interested candidates should visit the official portal of the Action Plan, Abhyuday IIT Bombay.
