Pune: Learning and Development (L&D) Global, India’s largest network of Learning and Development Practitioners, has successfully launched its Pune Chapter on 06 August 2016 (Saturday). This is L & D Global’s seventh chapter. More than 50 Learning and Development practitioners attended the ceremony.
Mrs Leela Poonwala delivered the key note address at the launch meet. She is the founder of Lila Poonawalla Foundation, a non-governmental organization promoting professional education among aspiring girls in India by providing scholarships and guidance. Mrs Poonwala is a former chairperson of Alfa Laval and was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. In her address, she emphasized on importance of continuous learning. She also shared her experience and insights on learning and development.
L&D Global has chapters in major cities in India: Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Chennai. The professional network the group will organize a national summit of L&D practitioners on 11 September 2016 (Sunday) in New Delhi, where more than 600 delegates across the country would participate. Mr Surya Prakash Mohapatra, founder of the group, informed that it will open more new chapters in the cities like Kolkata, Cochin and Baroda in the next six months.
