Hyderabad: Stand out among 32,000 competitors is definitely is a challenging task. When you are competing with 32,000 of India’s most promising young managers in the age group of 26 to 32 years, to be among the top 50, your sheer luck and competency will only determine your destination. Three ISB (Indian Business School) alumni proved they had it in them to make the cut to figure in the ET Young Leaders 2016 (ETYL) list announced on August 9, 2016.
Dr Charu Arora (PGP Co2015), Dinesh Reddy (PGP Co2014) and Namratha Agarwal (PGP Co2012) were selected to be part of this select group after clearing three rigorous levels of testing. India’s Top 11 CEO’s interviewed them and reviewed their performance before reaching at final decision.
ISB has played a key role in this success, said a visibly happy and excited Dinesh Reddy. In fact the grooming and fine tuning that his personality went through on the ISB campus, held him in good stead thanks to the peer and industry interactions that he was exposed to while doing his PGP, he said. Asked What next, Dinesh said the newly formed Young Leader network would clearly help me to consolidate on the existing robust network that I have as an ISB alumni to realise my goals.
“Being a doctor I would have hardly come across such an opportunity. It’s the management programme at ISB that has given me this exposure. The classroom and out-of-class learnings helped me crack the group discussions, interviews and case studies. ISB has given me an identity which brought me to my current work place and further on to the ETYL nomination,” Charu Arora said.
“Getting endorsement of your potential from who’s who of India Inc. is mind blowing,” said another leader from this list, Namratha Agarwal. “ISB has been a great catalyst that broadened my perspective and helped me in understanding and evaluating the big picture. I will make sure that I live up to my title now.”
The Economic Times Young Leaders Programme is a platform for recognising and rewarding India’s most promising young managers. This initiative is meant to encourage, identify and nurture promising future business leaders of India Inc. The programme administers a combination of assessment tools, online as well as on-ground, and culminates in face-to-face interviews with leaders from the corporate world.
