Mumbai: UpGrad, a pioneer in online executive education, has announced a tie up with PVR, Lenskart and ShopClues to offer scholarships for its Entrepreneurship Program. To support the entrepreneurship ecosystem, PVR, Lenskart and ShopClues will sponsor 50 students each starting 5th August 2016 for UpGrad’s online education platform’s Entrepreneurship program. Applications will be open until 5th September 2016.
With over 150 scholarships for the fourth batch of the Entrepreneurship program that starts in September 2016, UpGrad and the associated companies PVR, Lenskart and ShopClues are looking to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem. These scholarships will be primarily aimed at consumers of the brands who can register on lenskart.upgrad.com , pvr.upgrad.com and shopclues.upgrad.com. UpGrad said in a statement that the screening process will be carried out by UpGrad and the respective company jointly. The list of winners will be announced on 20th September 2016.

Co-founded by Ronnie Screwvala, Mayank Kumar, Ravijot Chugh and Prabhav Phalgun in early 2015, UpGrad caters to working professionals looking to build and expand their skill sets while continuing with their professional commitments.
The 15-week Entrepreneurship program at UpGrad has trained over 400 entrepreneurs from more than 4,000 applications since its launch in November 2015. UpGrad has designed the program specifically for those who are passionate about an idea and need direction. The program features case studies and insights from Ola, Snapdeal, Zomato, Quikr and more; mentorship from industry leaders; active discussion forums; offline and online events etc. as a part of the curriculum.
