Mumbai: Godrej Industries Limited and Associate Companies (GILAC) has launched the 5th edition of Godrej LOUD (Live Out Ur Dream) 2016, a campus hiring engagement for young and talented b-school students to fulfil their personal dreams. The company claimed that winners of LOUD will get a sponsorship of INR 1.5 lakhs and an offer into Godrej’s internship programme.

Godrej LOUD 2016 was launched on 5 July 2016, and over the next five weeks, the Godrej LOUD team will visit SP Jain, Mumbai; TISS, Mumbai; SIBM, Pune; SCMHRD, Pune; IIFT, Delhi; IIM, Kozikhode; FMS, Delhi; XIM, Bhubaneswar; MDI, Gurgaon; IIM, Ahmedabad; and IRMA, Anand to find passionate first year students.

Ms. Nisaba Godrej, Executive Director, Godrej Consumer Products Limited said, “Godrej LOUD is our way of finding passionate young leaders. We believe that if someone is really passionate about something, even if it has nothing to do with what we do, it is likely they will bring that drive with them to Godrej.”

Mr. Sumit Mitra, Head, Group Human Resources & Corporate Services said, “In the past four years we have heard 5,055 dreams and helped 28 winners live theirs. This year we intend to take that number to newer heights and bring more students into our fold of dreamers, doers and achievers. We are inspired by the enthusiasm and participation we receive every year as students welcome our Godrej LOUD team to their campus.”

The company said in a statement that last year, the initiative saw a strong response with over 2,300 applications, a 40 per cent increase from 2014. Fourteen finalists were shortlisted to share their dreams at the Godrej Headquarters in Mumbai and six winners got the opportunity to live out their dreams.

The company also said that some of the winning dreamers from the past years have received funds to design daily living aids for people with impaired limb functions, create a music video in the Himalayas and even take a trip to visit the major sites of World War II in Auschwitz, Normandy and Berlin.
